Cancellations and Changes
For most classes, we need 7 days' notice if you wish to cancel or change your booking. For example, if your course starts on a Monday, we need to hear from you by 23.59 on the Monday before. The Mastering Hand Tool Woodworking and Nakashima Chair courses need 8 weeks' notice.
By making a booking, you agree to our refund policy. Please make sure you've read and understood it before you book, and get in touch if anything is unclear.
Core Skills, weekenders, tasters and MAKE courses
A full refund is possible only with written notice at least 7 days before the course starts. If you request multiple cancellations resulting in two or more refunds, a 5% administration fee applies to each booking. Refunds are not given for notice of less than 7 days.
To reschedule, please give at least 7 days' notice; alternative dates are at our discretion. Within 7 days, you can move to another date only if we can fill your place, otherwise the fee is forfeited. Exceptions can be made for severe illness with a doctor's note or similar documentation.
Mastering Hand Tool Woodworking and MAKE: A Nakashima Chair
The deposit is non-refundable, unless you give notice 8 weeks or more before the start date and another student can take your place, in which case we will refund part or all of it. The balance is due no later than 6 weeks before the course starts; if it isn't received, we may cancel your place and keep the deposit. Please send cancellation requests in writing.
If we cancel a course
We'll tell you about available vacancies or alternative dates. If you choose not to rebook, any fees you have paid are refunded in full. We are not responsible for your pre-booked travel, parking or accommodation.
