Private Lessons and Bespoke Group Sessions

We offer one-to-one or small-group lessons for those who prefer to study at their own pace or who feel they would benefit from extra help.

We have found the classes especially useful for students preparing to start a project or already working on one but who might need instruction in particular aspects or techniques.

Both Sam and Helen are professionally trained woodworkers with a wealth of experience, and therefore, we can assure expert guidance to assist you with your project.

A bespoke woodwork class makes a special present for a partner or friend who would enjoy the luxury of an exclusive lesson. We also offer gift vouchers that can be used by the lucky recipient to book a lesson at a time and date that is convenient for them.

Duration

We have had a number of requests for lessons of 60 to 90 mins, which is doable in theory, but in practice, we won’t cover much practical work in that time. At best, we can give a short explanation or a demonstration, but that leaves no time for much else.

We suggest a minimum booking of 3 hours.

Booking is done by appointment. Contact us to discuss what you would like to cover during the session and to check the available dates. Once we have agreed on the date, we will send you an invoice you can pay by bank transfer.

Bespoke Group Sessions

These sessions are more suited to larger groups. We find these are more suited to corporate teambuilding events, hen/stag parties or groups of friends who want to try something together. The kind of classes we offer are focussed on the communal and fun aspect of making and less of the technical side. Apart from the happy memories, participants leave with something nice, like a handmade charcuterie board.

The minimum number of participants is 6, and the maximum is 8.

Cancellations and Date Changes

We require 7 days' notice before the start of your course if you need to cancel or change your booking. This doesn't affect your statutory right to cancel within 14 days of your original purchase. Read our full cancellation policy.
